The Brezza armchair is his innovative take on outdoor comfort, where the frame and cushions engage in surprising dialogue: the upholstered parts are easy to fit into the frame and secure. The generous upholstery leaves the round metal legs exposed, lending strength and recognisability to the armchair. The seat is thus incredibly practical: a simple gesture is all it takes to remove the upholstery and wash or replace it, to the advantage of long-term durability. Brezza exudes sturdiness and resistance, as well as natural, unpretentious grace. For the designer, good contemporary design must incorporate elements of innovation, ethics and elegance. Brezza’s natural materials were also chosen with environmental sensitivity in mind: “I chose fabrics made from recycled yarn and then designed a non-glue construction of the various elements. The frames can be stacked to reduce the shipping footprint and consequently CO₂ emissions.”
